Over 100 people came for new inspiration and ideas related to Cancer

Sometimes all it takes is an idea that makes sense, and then suddenly, that inspired idea becomes a point of change in one's life. This is our objective when we plan our events - to see if something will work for the many people who come to us seeking ... something to help.

When we started planning this event, it never occured to us that we would have to share the evening with game 7 of the Vancouver Canucks game against the Chicago Blackhawks. If you are a Canuck fan, you know exactly what that means. Chicago is like the fingernails on the blackboard for the Vancouver team and fans. Being in the Firefighter's Social Club, the venue is immediately above the Firefighter's Pub which, yes, broadcast what was reputed to be the best game of the season for the Canucks. So, while we were listening intently to Dr Johan Ghazali tell us about the exciting research about Oncotherm Loco-Regional Hyperthermia (OLRH) being used successfully in Germany for the last 24 years, we also knew that the very loud cheering coming from below was another good sign. Information on Dr Ghazali and his colleague Dr Gurdev Parmar, who also practises OLRH is at the Integrated Health Clinic in Fort Langley. The website is: www.integratedhealthclinic.com.

Next on the program, during a suspiciously quiet time from downstairs, was Frances Fuller of the Orthomolecular Vitamin Information Centre. Frances reminded us that there were many ways to approach Cancer, and this is something observed quite successfully by Dr Abram Hoffer and nobel laureate Linus Pauling. One of the comments coming from an attendee as leaving was 'I think I'll take more Vitamin C'. Contact information for Frances Fuller is: www.orthomolecularvitamincentre.com.

The final speaker was Dr Nelie Johnson who spoke very compassionately about her patients, and her personal need to understand what Cancer and disease actually is. She makes a great case for how unresolved and powerful emotions become a stress, and the need to deal with that stress. Dr Johnson's website is www.awarenessheals.ca.

Dr Johnson, and all of the evening's speakers, are approachable if you are interested in a speaker for an event you may be planning.

All in all, we were able to pack an inspiring evening and a game seven Canucks game into one evening.
