Events · 1st February 2012
Christine ~ HANS Staff
It was a "full to capacity" kind of evening this past Wednesday January 25th, 2012 for the HANS event "The Health Effects of EMF's" with Dr. Don Nixdorf, DC.

With an audience of 60, comprised almost exclusively of HANS members, Dr. Don laid out the good, the bad and the we don't knows in regards to Electromagnetic Frequency Radiation. Topics covered during the lecture included an explanation of the different types of EMF's and their sources, what harm the presence or exposure to EMF may cause, current and past studies on EMF from around the world, sources of reliable internet info, and the research and clinical benefit arising from the absence of EMF on chronic pain and related conditions.

Dr. Don held a captive audience for the one and a half hour long talk, and touched on many effective tips to help protect yourself from the various types of EMF's found in our environment. The lecture concluded with an informative Q&A session which confirmed that Smart Meters are indeed a hot topic and concern for all.

Dr. Nixdorf received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1972 and practices in Richmond, BC. In 1985, he became Executive Director of the British Columbia Chiropractic Association.
He is a participant in provincial studies and commissions on health care, and is a member of national and provincial agencies. Dr Don is currently a director and vice-president of Farabloc Development Corporation, which conducts research on EMFs and their effect on chronic pain. He also hosts a weekly radio show Mondays at 7pm on AM 650.
